'Tapestry in Accumulated Drips' by Morag Stokes

"Accumulated Dripping is a slow, laborious process. Individual drips of paint, two or three colours together, are squeezed out, like applying cake icing decoration. You’ll appreciate why I am less than thrilled when creepy crawlies walk through these works during the lengthy drying process!

The paint is dripped onto glass, allowed to dry completely, then peeled off as a skin of paint. The pattern on the underside is totally different from the one on the top due the the different rates that pigments move through the medium."

Videos on the process can be seen at Morag Stokes Art Studio on Facebook
