New from Iwen Yong
In March Iwen was accepted as a finalist in the New Zealand Painting and Printmaking Awards 2024 and in January won a Merit Award in the NZ Academy of Fine Arts Waterworld exhibition. This week Iwen brought in three new dramatic Wellington south coast oil paintings, including his biggest size to date, a one metre square scene from Breaker Bay. In 2023 Iwen won eight different exhibition awards and his art is now selling regularly from several galleries around the country and is becoming one of New Zealand's most talented emerging young artists.
